Members of the community can apply for an Community Borrower's Card at the circulation desk which allows you to borrow physical books for the general loan period.
Everyone is welcome to browse the selection, read, and study in the library during open hours.

If any item is lost or damaged, the patron will be charged the replacement cost and processing fee.
No food in the library.

Requesting a title that is available in the King's Library will place that item on hold for you.
Requesting a title that is available in another library in the Novanet consortium sends it to the King's Library for you. Depending on where the item is coming from, this usually takes approximately 3-5 business days, but please be prepared for longer processing times during exam seasons.
You can still request a title that is currently out on loan from any Novanet institution, and the item will be set aside for you as soon as it becomes available.
Regardless of where your item is coming from, you will receive a confirmation email when it is ready to be picked up.
Ask any staff for assistance and they will grab the book for you. Because these items are already on reserve for a program, they cannot be placed on hold for a specific patron; these items are available only on a first come, first served basis, and can only be loaned to King's Students.
These are titles that program faculty have set aside for course readings so that they are easily available to as many students as possible.
The standard for the King's Library is to have 2 to 3 copies of each book on the FYP reading list available to borrow.
Reserves are given loan periods ranging from two hours to seven days. Course Reserves are some of the only items in Novanet that still accrue late fines. Please check the reserve slip on each item for the applicable fine rate and loan period.
Any faculty member teaching a course at King’s may place items on reserve for that course. Requests can include any required readings that you may wish to have available on short-term loan in the Library, as well as supporting literature for the courses. Any books not available in our Library can be borrowed from other Novanet libraries to be placed on reserve.
