The King's College Library has been acquiring books for more than 200 years. We will gather in the Treasure Room where we will examine a few books from the Library's Rare Book Collection. Medieval manuscripts and early printed books will illustrate a brief overview of the history of the book, and the development of its form. We will also think about the transmission of texts from the manuscript era to the development of printing, the development of libraries, and how readers have used books.

Meet at the Library Front Desk.

Maximum of 15 people.
