Research, Writing, & Citing Sources

MLA Style is the only citation style you can use for your FYP papers. Click on the MLA Style tab to learn more.

For the majority of your FYP papers, you will be using primary sources only. You may find it helpful to consult the books listed on the Reference Books page to get context or insight into your subject, but the tight timeframe of your papers will limit your research.

When you begin to plan your Position Paper at the end of the Fall semester, and your Research Paper at the end of the Winter semester, you may find the resources on the Find Journal Articles page useful for locating secondary sources.

The librarians at the King's Library want to help you learn how to use the resources available to you, and are available to assist you by answering your questions at the Circulation Desk or in a scheduled one-on-one research session, which you can book here.

There are a variety of resources available to you that will assist you with organizing your references and ensuring your citations are correct. Here are a few listed below
